Facing future climate challenges

Climate change forces our crops to adapt to warmer temperatures, drought and pathogens. At the same time, the population is growing and the need for food is increasing. Luckily, we have bright young researchers, making it their mission to tackle these challenges!

Soybean is an important plant-derived protein source for food and feed. Soybean cultivation also improves soil quality & reduces nitrogen pollution making it a sustainable crop.

Genetic test to determine after-treatment ovarian cancer

PARP inhibitors are an important follow-up treatment for ovarian cancer patients. However, not everyone responds to this medication. 👏 Great teamwork (https://lnkd.in/eJbUDXMf) by VIB and UZ Leuven now present a genetic test that can predict a patient's response to PARP inhibitors. One step closer to personalized medicine!
